LIFE IN A KERALA HOUSEBOAT

  Day 1:

We start our trip from Alappuzha Jetty at 12 noon with a welcome drink. Enter the enchanting waters of Vembanad Lake where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Kerala backwaters and glimpses of the village life along the banks. On the way you can see old churches, temples, paddy fields, coconut toddy tapping & 110 ft long Snake Boat. Cruise through Rani Kayal, Chithira Kayal, Kumararkom backwaters & R-Block. We will anchor the houseboat at evening 6 pm for night stay. Overnight stay in Houseboat at Marthandam Kayal.

  Day 2:

Cruise continues through Kainakary, Chennamkary, Nedumudi & Champakulam. Visit St. Mary's Church, an ancient church with stone cross believed to be established by St. Thomas. Overnight stay in Houseboat at Pullangady.

  Day 3:

Cruise continues through Thayankari, Mannar, Thakazhy, Karichal & Veeyapuram. Overnight stay in Houseboat near Karuvatta.

  Day 4:

Cruise continues through Thottapally where you can visit the beach. Later we will cruise through Thrikkunnapuzha where you can see the coir processing. Visit to Mannarasala temple for serpent worship and later proceed to Kayamkulam lake. Overnight stay in Houseboat at Kayamkulam Lake..

  Day 5:

Cruise back to Alappuzha Jetty.
