Day 1: Srinagar Arrival
Arrival in Srinagar. Lying on the banks of River Jhelum with deep and mesmerizing valleys cascaded in sky scraping mountains and evergreen beauty, Srinagar blends together the tints of nature, beauty, harmony and romance. Meeting with our representative at the airport and transfer to the Houseboat. Later in the afternoon proceed for a romantic "Shikara Ride" gliding on the picturesque Dal lake. Experience the joy of shopping for handicrafts, flowers from the Shikara shops on the lake while you admire the magnificient Chinar trees as you sail past the popular Nehru Park. Overnight stay in Deluxe houseboat at Srinagar.
Day 2: Sonamarg Day Trip; In Srinagar
After breakfast, leave for day excursion to Sonamarg, one of the most beautiful drive from Srinagar with stops at beautiful spots on the way. Continue your drive to Sonamarg which literally means "Meadow of Gold", situated at 9200 ft above sea level. Located at 87 kms from Srinagar, the place is renowned for trekking and hiking trails. You can hire pony to visit "Thajiwas Glacier", where snow remains throughout the year. Sonamarg is the gateway to Ladakh and situated just before the Zoji La Pass. Overnight stay in Deluxe houseboat at Srinagar.
Day 3: To Pahalgam
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam (9000 ft), also known as "The valley of Shepherds" or "Trekker's Paradise", famous for Indian film industry shooting spots & its breathtaking views. On the way visit "Awantipura ruins", drive through the "Lidder River" & visit the beautiful "Saffron fields". Transfer to hotel. Later go for Pahalgam sightseeing. Overnight stay at Pahalgam.
Day 4: In Pahalgam
Full day in Pahalgam to explore the natural surroundings. You can hire pony and visit Baisaran, Kashmir Valley & Daban. Overnight stay at Pahalgam.
Day 5: To Gulmarg
Morning drive to Gulmarg (8700 ft) discovered by the Kashmiri romantic poet Sultan Yusuf Shah in the 16th century who was inspired with its grassy slopes covered with wild flowers. In winter Gulmarg looks more beautiful due to heavy snow fall and turns into India's premier Ski resort. The Gondola Cable Car (optional) offers rides to the upland meadows of Kongdori and beyond to the top of Apharwat range to a height of 14000 ft for viewing the Himalayan Peaks in summer and for downhill skiing in winter. Overnight stay at Gulmarg.
Day 6: In Gulmarg
Day at leisure to explore Gulmarg. Overnight stay at Gulmarg.
Day 7: To Srinagar
Morning drive back to Srinagar for two nights stay. Transfer to hotel. Later visit to the famous "Nishat Bagh" known as 'Garden of Pleasure', built in the 16th century (1633) by Mughal King Asif Khan. Then, visit "Shalimar Bagh" known as 'Garden of Love' built in 1619 by Mughal King Jehangir for his beloved wife Nur Jahan. Later visit the famous white mosque of Srinagar city "Hazratbal Shrine". Overnight stay in hotel at Srinagar.
Day 8: In Srinagar
Morning visit to the famous "Shankaracharya Temple" built on the top of the mountain overlooking Dal Lake. Later drive to "Manasbal Lake", located in the Jhelum Valley in the north of Srinagar city. The large growth of lotus at the periphery of the lake (blooms during July and August) adds to the beauty of the clear waters of the lake. Then visit the famous temple of Kashmir "Kheer Bhawani" situated at Tullamulla in the Srinagar district, an important shrine associated with the Hindu goddess, Ragnya Devi. Overnight stay in hotel at Srinagar.
Day 9: Departure
Transfer to Srinagar Airport with sweet memories.
